Thomas Klaarenbeek is an attorney at ACG International. He advises and litigates in commercial and corporate disputes, contractual matters, corporate governance issues, and civil liability cases. His practice closely aligns with the international and business-oriented practice of ACG International, where legal analysis, commercial interests, and litigation strategy converge.

Thomas assists companies, directors, investors, and other business parties in disputes concerning cooperation agreements, contractual obligations, directors’ liability, shareholder relations, and commercial transactions. In addition, he has particular expertise in financial regulatory and compliance-related matters, including banks’ duties of care, integrity risks, and Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft) obligations.

Alongside his work as an attorney, Thomas also serves as a compliance officer at a financial institution. Through this experience, he has developed a sharp understanding of how regulated entities manage risks, governance, client due diligence, and Wwft obligations. He regularly shares this knowledge in internal and external presentations and knowledge sessions on Wwft, compliance, and integrity risks.
